Norayr Robert Tuncer

January 4, 1930 – June 22, 2013

Norayr Robert Tuncer passed away June 22 in Woodland Hills after a long illness.

Born January 4, 1930 in Merzifon, Turkey to Hagop and Armanuhi Tuncer, Norayr immigrated to California in 1956, where he met and married his beloved wife Rosemarie. Together, they worked for 30 years in their successful Los Angeles dry cleaning business. After retirement, Norayr continued to work and assist friends in their businesses; and he and Rosemarie dedicated much time volunteering at the Ararat Home of Los Angeles. After Rosemarie’s passing in 1996, Norayr continued to volunteer there, managing bookings of its popular reception hall.

Dedicated to and much loved by his family, Norayr is survived by his nieces Rita Takvorian and Hilda Parunyan, daughters of his late brother Hratch and sister-in-law Sona; his niece and nephews Paulette Geragos, Mark Kassabian, Paul Kassabian, and John Kassabian, children of his brother-in-law and sister in-law Dr. John and Mary

Kassabian; and his ten grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Sona.

Funeral services will be held at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Church of the Hills, June 29, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. A dinner reception will follow.
